Under 16’s Policy

Under 15 & 16 Policy for Membership & Gym Use

The following policy applies to all individuals under the age of 16:

Membership Requirement

When an individual under the age of 16 signs up for a gym membership, a parent or legal guardian must either:

  • Hold an existing gym membership, or
  • Sign up for a gym membership at the same time.

Access Limitations

Use of certain equipment or participation in specific classes may be restricted based on age or maturity. Staff may deny access to equipment deemed unsuitable or unsafe for under 16 members.

Respect for Equipment

  • Gym equipment must be used only for its intended purpose.
  • Misuse, horseplay, or rough behavior involving equipment is strictly prohibited.
  • Weights, machines, and accessories must be returned to their proper place after use.
  • Equipment should not be dropped, thrown, or handled carelessly.

Appropriate Attire

  • Proper athletic clothing and closed-toe shoes must be worn at all times
  • STRICTLY NO SCHOOL UNIFORM
  • No sandals, crocs, or bare feet are allowed.

STRICTLY NO LOITERING.

Failure to comply with these policies may result in temporary suspension or cancellation of membership for both the under-16 member and the supervising adult.

Under 15’s

The following policy applies to all individuals under the age of 15:

Mandatory Adult Supervision

Strictly all members under the age of 15 must be accompanied and actively supervised by a parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult (aged 18 or over) at all times while in the gym.

Supervision Responsibilities

The supervising adult must remain in close proximity and monitor the under 15 member at all times during their visit. They are fully responsible for the young member’s safety, conduct, and appropriate use of equipment.

Failure to comply with these policies may result in temporary suspension or cancellation of membership for both the under-16 member and the supervising adult.
